people cutting off their limbs!!
amputee obsessions!
:D
and de niro teams up with martin scorcese
he narrates a short film/commercial directed by scorcese for american express.
fucking nice.
last nite i watched a show on commercials and ad campaigns.
info on how to target audiences and what people want.
american express decided to offer quality entertainment in the form of classy vignets a la bmw and bmwfilms.com
the product is decidely there, and yet the fact that your watching a commercial doesn't matter. it's like the commercial has become a form of high art.
fucking cool.
except for the fact that it makes one wonder what happens when we become immune to the differences and how the power of publicity ads may be stronger than ever although we just dont see it.
or perhaps we've just become numb to the fact.
the explanation of the iPod campaign was really good too.
the quick step by step reasoning of how the ads are able to sell an experience
and how once you have one, you're able to see yourself in the ad.
thereby being able to feel the iPod experience
heh
cool
oh and speaking of ads...
have you seen the photography art used to push LAVAZZA ?
