dammit
so early am call time for diving
(we gotta fly back to cali tomorrow afternoon)
vis was like 80' at the corsair
omg
super clear
water was a bit rough and a pain in the ass for the exit but we survived
below about 115' and just really nice.
jumped into the cockpit of the corsair and had a puffer fish blow up n say hello
lots of squirrel fish with their big eyes staring. they're kind of freaky looking.
it was semi rough by the spitting caves/China Walls
captain joe was shouting 'go go go!' at us.
fast descent down and the boat took off.
once down there was a bit of a current but not too bad.
lots n lots of big ass turtles. whee!
and trumpet fish too
rocks were all carved with snakey patterns from lava flow.
didn't see sharks at all really, well, i thought i saw one off in the distance but it never got close.
the other group saw one for sure.
didn't see the monk seals :(
---
i got in like 7 dives this trip. too bad i had to take a day off
started off with a night dive near ala moana beach park (vis sucked)
then kewalo reef for a 2nd dive (reef shark and a big turtle n eels)
kewalo pipe for the 3rd (lil ray)
4th dive on the 3rd day was the sea tiger wreck (one of the damn boys shoved me into the doorway of the wreck. buttheads. got cut on my finga)
then followed by another visit to the kewalo pipe (but vis sucked dammit!)
6 n 7 i mentioned above.
