Landed at Heathrow yesterday morning after an unremarkable flight on British Airways.
Well actually, the flight was fine although packed - seems the evening flight of the day was canceled so they had to put as many of those passengers onto the earlier one.
The company was enjoyed though.
The woman next to me was returning home after a round-the-world trip where she spent most of her time in SE Asia as well as Oceania - including TWO months in New Zealand - I really need to do one of those flat rate fares someday.
Next to her was a kid who was traveling with his mom. He was stopping in London to visit with relatives for just a few hours before heading down to Botswana to go on safari for 9 days. His mom did it last year with the daughter and was able to see the Big 5.
I think I need to plan a trip like that someday too.
The food unfortunately was barely edible. Even the bread tasted horrid! I haven't had such a horrible meal in such a long time. I ended up using all the salt/pepper. I asked for lactose-free and ended up with vegetarian/gluten/flavour free.
ugh!
tried to sleep but didn't get much good sleep.
ended up watching Fantastic Mr Fox which was really enjoyable.
and also the Blind Side - and I was surprised to find it was really good. I liked it.
no problem with my car service - as usual LondonHeathrowCars came thru and a super nice driver.
My super Nokia phone works fine except I can't seem to send texts. GRR. receiving texts is fine. (calls in/our & internet good too).
I'll hit the Orange shop when I get into Camden today to do some errands before shooting if i can.
I tried to stay away all day/afternoon/early evening but I ended up passing out a little too early.
I hope it doesn't effect my shoot today. I'll take a quick nap after getting my bags ready and before heading out.

i saw that the upcoming 4-day rail strike is no longer happening :-D
now that's a big relief!
April 6 i will be taking the train from London to Leicester and shooting for a bit.
April 6 I will take the train from Leicester to Worchester Shrub Hill via B'ham after my shoot.
I have to make the last one and my friend in Great Malvern will come n get me.
Unfortunately, we don't really have much hanging out time as he's got to work in the afternoon the next day so shooting in the am.
Apr 7 Malvern to Edinburgh - again via B'ham - gotta get the one that goes direct so I don't have to change!
it'll be about 6 hours. I hope it's pretty! I know flying would take less time but the idea is to see the world outside right?
