hmm. ok. how do to this in a PC manner...
ok. say you're boarding a flight.
you get to your seat and then the person seated next to you shows up (or could already be there).
that person also happens to take up about 1/3 of your own seat.
changing seats is not an option, the flight is full.
upgrades are also not an option.
(in this particular case, business class was also full. my flight was paid for by someone else. and i don't feel that i should be required to purchase an upgrade if i did not want to).
is there a legal complaint here?
i'm thinking about writing the airline (Frontier SJC-DEN) even though the flight is now over.
i didn't want to say anything during the flight because, well. i didn't want to embarrass the passanger next to me, and honestly, there wasn't any room on this particular flight to do it in a quiet space.
the plane was one of those 2x2 rowed things with a single WC in the back. the flight attendant had to get up from her single seat in the center aisle each time someone entered/exited the WC.

oh, and no the armrest could not be put down unless really pushed on (and allowed to cut into the other passenger's side).

Hello,
I just wanted to write and ask about your policy about seating. I flew from Denver to San Jose a few days ago on a full flight. I arrived to my assigned seat only to find that the passenger seated next to me actually took up about 1/3 of my seat. I sat on the flight completely unable to even place my arms at my side. There was no room.
This particular flight had one single WC at the rear of the plane where I also happened to be seated (17A - the next to last row). The flight attendant was nearby, just behind us, in fact, but I did not want to embarrass the passenger seated next to me. Having a private conversation or being discreet was not possible.
I understand that smaller airplanes also means that available seating space can be limited, but this was over 2 hours of discomfort and feeling cheated out of what should have been a simple and routine flight. Having to squeeze myself into a space that any normal sized adult would find incredibly compact is unacceptable. Enough so that I felt compelled to write this complaint.
I am a frequent traveller and look forward to a positive response so that in the future, I will not avoid flying on Frontier Airlines.
