so for some reason yesterday, i was convinced that the website said 20h00.
oh well. earlier is better than later :P

[livejournal.com profile] ostanine couldn't come so I got in touch with Olga then Ioanna. (both i met at Underworld and both had shot my performances). Olga couldn't come because she had eye surgery.
J drove me to pick up Ioanna and then we headed off to the Badmitton Theater. I had some odd feelings about being there though. i could just imagine the show being canceled like the stupid Swan Lake production.

We picked up our tickets which were grand (and in the center and front block in the 9th row).
The matchstick girl was pretty, but a bit slow for my tastes. I wanted to climb up in their stage scene though. it was a stage and curtains, and the curtains opened up to reveal another stage. (continue for about 5 curtains, each time the set becoming smaller and smaller).

intermission - picked up a couple CDs for [livejournal.com profile] ostanine
Urine Palace & The Sea

The second half of the show featured The Sea (although the website info lists them in reverse order). I liked this part most. The Greek actor was great as a drunk sailor, yet i didn't really understand everything he was saying except for some of the dirty bits.

didn't wear latex though. just didn't feel like it. but i did go bald.

got the guys to sing one of the CDs for K, even though Martyn signed his for kumi. hehe.

Was it a gig, or one of their theatre/circus pieces? I love the Tiger Lillies.

it was more of an onstage concert/theater piece
not as rambunctious and boisterous
but nice

odd crowd, lots of older and calm folks...
i would have totally stuck out in latex
i was bald and that got enough stares!

yay, Tiger Lillies!

I saw them in Seattle when they came through doing the stage version of Shock Headed Peter. It was fantastic. I really need to get that soundtrack.
