The first words that came to mind when I saw this was 'modern savage'. Gave me the idea of a post apocalyptic, post nuclear world where tech has gone and people live in tribes. People wear latex like skin tight clothing that is actually the last tech, suits that protect them from the radiation.
Animals survived but mutated and evolved so they have a telekinetic link with the humans. Together they exsist in pairs, one human one dog and they protect the tribe from mutants and hunt the new beasts that roam the scorched world.

Wow, taking a breath now.
