i think this african history thing is gonna be harsh tomorrow
it's a great class but a lot more difficult since most of us have never had any previous background in it aside from egypt of course. so it's like there's no point of reference or famililarity with the subject.
but it is damn interesting and the prof is great.
the south african stuff is interesting and cool. esp all the stuff with the zulu.
i need to get the names down still.
west african names keep falling out of my head. i need to figure out how to remember those names and dates. grr

When I was seriously considering a major in history, people were always asking in what area I'd specialize. I never really wanted to make a real decision, though, because I'd never taken (college) courses in the history of anywhere but the United States and Europe, and I knew that was leaving out the majority of the world.

So I said "screw this" and sailed off in a galleon to destinations unknown. Hargh!
