A lot of people that shoot bondage/fetish seem to have never heard of him before!
you suck. You people need to study up on your fetish photography history a little bit.
Though some may be familiar with is pissing photos (he says it's been years since he's done anything else. He says it's all passé now! Hah. I didn't have to pee in my shoot like
stevedietgoedde or IanRath(fetishnation.com) thought I would!)
Anyways, I am more excited about this shoot than most of the others I've done in the past years. Yes, even more than the work with Mourthe.
I love war photography but if i have to go the direction of fetish: raw, black and white, fetish and bondage photography that constantly remindes me of my personal history and exposure to fetish imagery and icons.
There are names i think of...
bobcarlosclarke, newton (sometimes), gunter blum (he had just passed away after i got my first marquis cover), wolfgang eicher (i was excited to shoot with him), and gilles berquet too. For me, his images exude a sense of unposed reality and i really wanted to step away from fashiony glamour that is constantly trying to beat itself to death by being brighter and bigger and better and more blown out than all the rest.
we shot all day. all film. no digital. some color and some b/w. Mirka shot video around us and cooked up some super yummy baked apples for us to eat. We talked about shoes, memories, Maniac (his magazine), trevor brown, mark ryden (he had a show in paris that weekend and tho invited i missed out), pissing photos, araki, faux fetishism, stockings, food, broken dolls, medical toys, stinky cheese, and tea.
