almost weekend time...

it's almost the weekend.
so octavios party is tonite.
but i'm gonna get my ass down to long beach cuz my buddy is feelin anti social but not antisocial enuf for LB local bar. plus i gotta convince her to go to San Diego with me if antoniusrex friend's have space for us.

oh, and another photographer buddy asked me last nite if i was going (no plans at the time) but she was shooting the event for life magazine and well, pix of girl in latex would be nice i guess. more incentive to go...

plus my tattoo guy patrick is gonna be there with metalweb

spoke to sukaoff about shows.
i really want to do this new one. it'll cost me a bit to get what we need, but it could be cool. new cities ... crossing fingers!

Living Through Steve Diet Goedde
Photographic Anthology 1990-2004

Steve Diet Goedde is one of the biggest names in fetish photography, and for a reason; His photos fucking rule. Steve has been taking photographs for around 20 years or so, and Living Through Steve Diet Goedde is a collection of over 700 great photographs spanning the bulk of his career. For the price of entry you get to see awesome pics of some of the biggest fetish models out there( Dita Von Teese, Kumi Monster and Masumi Max to name but a few) as well as a bunch of interviews and behind the scenes footage. The interviews are pretty interesting for the most part, and watching the behind the scenes stuff is pretty cool too. The kind of experimental jazzy glitchy soundtrack by Michael W. Dean is cool as well, though it’s only there to provide an extra layer of depth of ambience to the disc, never taking away from the main focus on the pictures.

All in all, I think this dvd is a pretty kickass collection of photographs. The only real gripe I have is that I read there is supposed to be an interview with Kumi on here somewhere, and I couldn’t find it. But maybe that’s just my dvd, or maybe I’m just a jackass and misread something. I dunno. That aside, this is a really cool collection of fetish photography that definitely deserves to be watched.
