So today i had 2 dives scheduled with the Shellharbour Scuba group.
The sun was out for the past couple of days and the weather was decently warmish considering the water was just at 18C.
not too bad with the super nice 5mm full suit and the 5mm oversuit they gave me to wear! yippee!
Since more people on the am dive wante to use those little propulsion things, we ended up doing that first.
I didn't want to bother so i just held onto the DM's tank while we cruised around on a single DPV. Saw some Rays and lots o fishies. moray n whatnot.
The 2nd dive was for just 5 of us total. no DPV though but all was well.
Within 10 minutes we saw a weedy sea dragon.. yippee! (only found in australia's southern coastal area n tasmania)

The one we saw was def male - had a few eggs on its tail n stuff too.
Then there were a couple of cuttlefish which were really cute. well the 2 little ones were. they were floating along and changing color. one got a bit aggravated n started squirting ink. Then, when heading back, i saw a larger violet/brown one that was staring out from under a rock. that one wasn't so cute with all the big tentacles n stuff. Actually, now that i think about it, we saw a few more as well. nice one again. as not found in america :D
rawr!
no more dives for this trip :(
shooting tomorrow and then possibly in sydney tues. then flying to SFO on the 17th
