once again i'm behind on the blogging.
And once again i'm awake early due to jetlag.
So maybe it's a perfect time to make an attempt at posting something in here but too much has happened to cover all of it so instead i'll end up making a half ass attempt to write anything to fill the space - at least that's what usually happens. Perhaps this time I can write something worth remembering?
Either way, I'm currently in Texas now. Dallas to be exact and staying with
allenfalkner . I actually flew in to San Antonio after a DFW connection to shoot there for a day, then headed directly back to Dallas. I can't recall if I've ever visited here before. I know I've never performed here but on Sunday that will change. I'm going to attempt to do the show I did in Rome a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to figure out how to get around the nudity issue. Sometimes being back in the US is really irritating. But come to think of it, San Antonio & Dallas are two new cities I can now add to my list of places I've worked and SAT, DFW (?), and DAL are 3 new airports I've been to. I really need to take advantage of today and find something touristy to do! Any suggestions? The weather is hot and full of sun and it'd be stupid to spend it in front of the computer all day.
I'm certainly enjoying these bounces into Texas. Funny how just last month (19-24 May) I was in Houston. It's find it odd how after never (or rarely) traveling to an area all of a sudden I do two visits in the space of so little time. I'm not complaining though. I enjoy the heat and this domestic travel is helping me to appreciate being in the USA (ie. not hate being in the US).
In other small news, I think I'm going to have to seriously consider going back to virgin atlantic. the last 4 flights with british airways have left me wanting.
here's a shot from 2010 may 19 of my LHR to IAH flight.
*Reminder: I'm lactose intolerant so I keep a BA profile which states I require a non-lactose meal.

Houston, though it took place a month ago, deserves it's own post. So i'll do a new one for it.
I also need to write new emails to British Airways about the last series of flight experiences.
One good thing about the jetlag is that I keep waking up early without any problems.
This is great because I'm awake on time to watch the WorldCup matches happening.
I can't believe Italy, the current world champions, were knocked out. I can't believe the runner's up to the championship for the last WC (France) not only failed to make it out of the group round and acted like spoiled infants.
I can't believe the US made first in its group over England! Both were great last games!
It'll be interesting to see the upcoming matches. This am it's Portugal against Brazil!
Actually the past matches were great too.
I didn't think i cared much about North Korea but watching them play against Brazil was amazing.
Especially how the defense prevented Brazil from scoring at all until the 55th minute of the game.
For some reason, I like this image

As ever, looking out the windows of either plane or airport and seeing these tails makes me happy. For a number of reasons, I simply love Terminal 5 at Heathrow. Being at this airport makes me happy.
2010 may 19 - LHR to IAH

Aside from the dairy products all over my special non-lactose meal, the flight was uneventful.
Mjok picked me up from the airport and we went and got a bit to eat and I was taken to my temporary residence. I don't have to mention that the weather was hot which I loved!

I attempted to get over my jetlag and didn't do much the rest of the day. Unfortunately, there was no wifi at the house and eventually, after realizing my phone had a GPS application that allowed me to search for cafes and other types of shops, I was able to find a nice cafe down the street a short walk away. Too bad Comcast was down in the area initially!
In any case, the next day, the girls picked me up and we drove around downtown. I liked it. I learned that Houston has an underground series of tunnels that connect the various buildings. It's quite interesting and the one passage we were n was cool and clean. I wonder how much the upkeep is in such a thing. I wonder if there are ever any safety issues.

2010 may 21 - found the cafe. attempted to make internet connection but not going to happen.
then went to do a shoot with martin paul pierce at his most awesome flat

A single image of the rooftop pool area wouldn't suffice, so here's a video!
That night was also the first party we had to go to.
Athena Fatale had made the drive up from Dallas and

This is actually before we set foot in the bar. It's just blurry.

The next day was a much needed food day. Athena and I went and got it and also took care of some errands.
that night was the big party too!

local walgreens!:

our most awesome assistant!:

BTW, Athena and I did two shows. The 2nd one involved a lot of props including water and making a bit of a mess.
it was quite fun too. But for some reason, none of the boys actually saw either performance - nor have they ever actually seen me perform.
instead, they left the venue to go on a manhunt (really, they wanted to find jeffrey star who performed earlier in the venue).
they made it back in time to see us getting out of our catsuits.
asstards.
regardless, after the party, food was needed.

And the following morning, after a visit to the internet/art cafe, more food was needed so we tried out the super greek place across the street!

Then on the 24th, I was taken back to IAH for my return flight to London.
I only got one shot out of the window because i had to run to the back of the plane to do it.
For some reason, I didn't get my normally requested window seat.
