i was thinking about Madrid and a quick visit for one shoot,
but then i realized, there's so much there.
I'd be an idiot to just go for a simple 2 or 3 days.
i have to figure out how to fit things in

i have to see the Guernica piece.
1937, Guernica was targeted for aerial bombing. it had resisted the advances of the army sinte the spanish civil war had begun the year before.
Luderndorff had argued, in 1935 that in modern war civilians must not and should not be avoided or spared by the military. Civilans were as much a part of the war movement as any other.
In Germany the new luftwaffe needed testing, and Franco gave Hitler permission to send his planes. The German Condor Legion used incidiaries, explosive bombs, and finally machine guns on the population
no one had known before what would happen if a city were bombed.
