Someone commened the other day on one of these images from my Dallas performance. They mentioned how it looked really cool and couldn't wait to do it. Basically, they were going to take my idea and do it themselves. Great. Not sure how I feel about that one - oh yes, I think I do. What crap. It's not like they even understood the concept going on in my head especially when all most people see online are the images. And even for those in the audience, I'm pretty sure they didn't realize that I did have a concept in mind and wanted to feature aspects of minimalism for this  show... Oh well. meh.

Motification

I like these picts having my mind wander, like in a dream, from objective human figure, standing out and off the background, in relief ; to its assimilation with the canvas, its 'motification' (if I may say), through color writing. As if to be a subject were to become an alive ideogram. Awesome equivalence between 3D and 2D. That's what I feel, at least. With a reversal of submission (habitually mere objectification) to a master (dom), to revelation (of an artistic subject) into the hands of a master (artist). A staging of art performance. But probably am I too much pasting over philosophical stuff.
