i need to catch up and finish the mobloging.
i will eventually.
right now i'm trying to get my jetlag in check.
though i suppose i'm not really in that much of a rush.
this whole week has been devoted to staying near the computer and refreshing the local courthouse website to see where and when and if i need to appear for jury duty.
so far, each day since monday i've been simply told to look again at the website either after 11am or 5pm each day.
one more day of looking then i'll be done with waiting around - or i will be assigned to show up.
it's much better than having to sit around and wait in some actual courthouse somewhere for the initial selection process.
of course, i could have stayed in europe and then gotten to do a gig i was invited to perform at in the Netherlands.
oh well,
otherwise, it's nice to see the family and especially my niece who forgets who i am each time i come back from a trip.
luckily, like most children, she can be bribed with toys.
so the jetlag. last nite i went to bed quite early. i ended up waking up just after midnight and even though i tried, i was unable to fall asleep again.
well, i've been up since then and it's already pushing 11pm. maybe i'll have this beaten by tomorrow.
it'll be nice to get on a more normal schedule.
I stayed up all day today and I even got to wash my car. It was super warm outside!

So there are two pretty much confirmed events coming up that i'm booked for - not in the US though. The first is at the end of September in Lyon for the Bal des Supplices. I get to hostess and do a show. Hopefully I'll learn what the venue will look like soon so I can see if the new shows i've got in mind might work. I might be able to perform it with Satomi. There's another version of the show I'm working on and I need to write to lucifire about it, but after talking to Samar I now have a possible partner state-side. Hopefully we can get something set up.
In any case, I'm headed back to London on Sept 16 and i will probably spend November over here, then back to Europe in December as I'm booked for the 10th anniversary of the Clinic Party. It's going to be the same weekend as Demonia in Paris so it looks like I can hit that first (it happens on a Thurs nite) then jump on the Thalys to Amsterdam on Friday for the Sat nite Clinic event. :-)
Of course, this might all depend on one big factor - which i really havent posted about yet. I suppose I could but then I'd feel like a right idiot professing my feelings about some guy on the intraweb only to find it was much too soon . But then I have to remember I'm female and we go just boy stupid sometimes. But that's enough about that. i think it's better to keep my trap shut for now. Hell, sometimes i think I'm just better off single. That way no one gets hurt - especially me.
Speaking of keeping my trap shut, well, I really should but I'm a little bummed. San Francisco will have its first supposedly proper fetish shindig in July bearing the name of a popular fetish magazine that had me on the cover (a while ago) as well as on the inside (regularly) - go on, not that hard to figure it out. Well, I'm not going to be performing - not enough budget. i usually can understand that but it really does suck considering this is my hometown and I've gotten a shitload of emails and inquiries about performing here because I rarely ever do and because the last time i did a show with midori here, hardly anyone got to even see it. And,I guess not everyong that lives around here can pop over an ocean to hit the fetish events there. Anyways, it's kind of a sucky feeling to know that I'm not bookable in my own city especially since we're not often conveniently available like this and usually promoters end up spending quite a bit on flying one or both of us in as well as organizing lodging, etc.
There's supposed to be a follow up in December depending on how this one goes, but seeing as I have the EU bookings, I doubt a return flight to San Francisco is going to be within the budget. I might still be able to attend the party though. Waiting on hearing from a gig elsewhere.
I usually dont like going to fetish parties unless i'm working (ie.getting paid) but It'd be nice to see people without having to worry about a show - though if i've got my car, then I cant drink - which sucks for me.
And it's not like I don't have a shitload of fabo new latex to wear. :-)
We'll see...
I wonder if i'll be able to sleep all thru the night and maybe wake up around 6-7am instead of 1-4 am. I hope so. I'm going to try!
