waste o time place

Seriously WoW.
this year was the year of travel. but then that was last year and the year before that.
so this year is the year of Even More Travel - with Firsts
and it looks like they won't be the Last.
i just have to realize how lucky i am do have the opportunity to do what i do
and know a lot of wonderful people that want to work with me all around the world.

So firsts include:
Flying to Asia to work/perform.
The Philippines were great. i can't wait to return. I'd dive everyday if I could!

Performed in Montreal in a lovely messy show. I've done Toronto but never felt the need to hit Montreal.
It was great! Wish i had more days there to explore but had to head over to Tampa

Traveled to New Zealand and  Australia to perform/shoot
Saw lots of sheep in NZ. wow. they do have a lot.
Need to spend more time there though.

Dove Great Barrier Reef - the SS Yongala dive really rocks.
Dove South Coast Australia - cold water? what cold water!? good suits rock.
Did stupid Shark Dive in Melb tank - did not rock.
Spent quite a few days around Queensland areas and South Coast areas (NSW) rather than quick in/out days - it was like getting to really know the area which was nice.
Saw kangarooos in the wild. live n smooshed
Saw koalas in the wild. live n smooshed
Saw kookaburra bird things in the wild. no smooshed ones though.
Saw weedy dragon (hard to spot)
Saw cuttlefish - smooshed ones squirted ink!
Saw brahma bulls - is that what the rock was named after?
Saw lots o other things n stuff native to Australia.
Saw that movie Australia in Australia. that did not rock.
oh, and i did not see that giant rock in the middle of Australia. oh well. next trip!


2009 is already starting to take form.
I'm excited about being in Europe again but slightly stressed out about it as I know i'm going to come up to the limit of max days in an 180 day period. I will need to count backwards from April/May/June to figure out exactly how much time I can stay in the EU in Jan/Feb/March

There are some firsts already lined up for 2009 but I'll post about those later.

hey

so i wont be writing everyone that wrote to me about the vex show immediiately.
it will take some time and i have to send all the stuff to laura to say 'yea' or 'nea' as well after we figure out the designs and who could wear what n all.
we're also trying to figure out how many girls we will actually need as some girls (um....<lj user="emilymarilyn">) can't figure out if they're coming or not til the last minute!

it will be sooner-ish rather than later-ish  as i like to have these things set in advance but probably at least not until i get back to the US.
(the party isn't til March remember!)
