so I flew in from Cebu a little while ago, I had to wake up a bit earlier than i wanted. well actually, it wasn't the time, it was the lack of sleep due the people i heard running down the hallway at around 2,3, & 4am. Anyway, said hello and good bye to as many of the nice people that i could. Fell asleep on the short flight too.
Cebu airport is nice. I like it though my first impression was a bit hectic. One hallway almost reminds me of Hawaii, but without the lush green plants (on the inside). Maybe it's just the climate.

I can't wait to figure out my details for a return. and this time MG and I have to get those underwater shoots done. The large jacuzzi just doesn't cut it. I'm not too thrilled that I spent 9 days without any actual work happening. I wasn't prepared to take a tropical vacation during this time but I did get 2 shoots in (MG and Stephan) and seeing a new place was worth it (especially when you throw in the SCUBA and open water certification). I definitely addicted. But then, by the time we were both available to shoot, the weather decided to not cooperate. MG sent me to ScubaWorld instead and paid for my courses which i did in super fast mode.
I picked up a new SIM card since i had to return the one that Bigfoot supplied me. not posting it cuz if i get any texts from INTL people then it'll just suck my credits away.
So I got into Manila domestic around 13h-ish i guess. Then I've been taking my time with getting over to the international airport because my flight doesn't leave until 20h40... UGH!

Got to the international terminal and saw the huge crowds outside (you can't enter the airport currently without passport and itinerary). I decided to chill out on the wall opposite the entrances where some police officers were and we chatted a bit. Then one rude one came up, offered me some lunch, and started staring at my tits. EWWW.

These airports have quite a few security checks. But they don\t seem that concerned with your laptop. I've been leaving them in my bag, but taking out the baggie of liquids. The funny thing is here, you have to take off your skinny flip flops too. I've been reading some pretty bad reviews of them, especially of MNL (it being a capital airport and yet lacking in the qualities that a capital based airport deserves). Right now i couldn't be happier though. I didn't want to enter the airport, with the crowds and queues of people - especially since i've quite some time before my flight, but after getting through security (the 2nd or 3rd) I was walking past some duty free shops when a nicely dressed woman asked me if i'd like to try out their airport lounge. I asked if there was free WiFi. She said, 'yes'. Food? 'yes, ma'am'. Take me to your leader!
So the cost of this lounge is only 400 pesos. I would have paid more. There are rooms to sleep in, a bar with reasonable prices (though many of the food items are included in the price as well as coffee, water, soft drinks). There's fruit and snacks here - nothing special though but a nice set up. I want adobo but i'm eating noodles. :-\ Whereas the rest of the airport was completely chaotic, in here it's spacious, calm, and quite cool (too cool for me with the fans running). There's also a massage station (300 pesos to start) and behind me is a room for smokers. I am sitting nearby in the non-smoking area and can't smell any cigarettes at the moment.
Oh, it's called the Sampaguita Lounge and worth it. There are also little trinkets to buy if you want as well as a super courteous staff. Great view of cloud filled skies.

i am tired. i'm supposed to be going out tonight too.
I dont actually land until 00h05 though!
Have I mentioned my 20h40 departure?
UGHH!
well at least i have this lounge, and i can get a room (included in the price) to change my clothes so i wont freeze in Shanghai!
I think I will need a massage eventually.
OH. BUT THE AIR SUPPLY ON THE SOUND SYSTEM HAS GOT TO GO!
