i actually tweeted about it earlier today but i think it deserves it's own actual real post.

this morning i woke up and felt tired - not 'i need to sleep more' just tired of the whole runaround of trying to book shoots n whatnot.
i do like organizing things and making sure things are so set up that they fall through perfectly, including dates, travel, outfits, etc.
and obviously, i love flying around.

but lately, hmm... well for quite some time now, shoots jut aren't hat much fun anymore. Not all, but some.
there are still some projects i'd like to do, and maybe one or two photographers i'd like to work with too, but for the most part, i think i'm just about done with it. well, i'm not done with it now - i don't hate it or anything, but i have noticed being less than %110.  i figure i can give myself til the end of this year.

i still have things to do and shows to attend and perform at. I still enjoy doing that and i'll still work with the latex companies i push.
i still like latex too.
and once in a while i enjoy the amateur shoots that i set up with new photographers interested in fetish that turn into part photoshoot/ part private lecture/workshop session.

i don't know. maybe it's just that this am i realized that the thought of "retirement' came into my head and this was the first time I actually seriously paused to think on it.

so maybe it's time to give it a go.
i'm not sure but i know i don't want to be one of those models that say they're going to retire and then comes back again.
seriously, what i am i going to do? have a  come-back in a few years when i'm 45?

What do you think you would retire -to-?

Hmmm...

In an industry where so few models make an actual living at what they do, you clean up. But I back you up in wanting to use your time for other things, since modeling isn't a realistic long-term living. You know more about fetish than anyone I know, and you would thrive in the fashion or editorial end of things.

If you still enjoy modeling, maybe split your time 50/50 with modeling and something else so that you don't have to rely exclusively on modeling.

Well I guess all good things come to an end eventually and all.

So, would you go into academics, or maybe move to latex clothing design or fetish fashion editorial or something?

Keep us posted, please!

(Unrelated: How 'bout that Lady Robin on FetLife? Grrrrrrrrrr.)

it'd be a sad day to see a true fetish legend retire, but if its not making you happy like it once was then maybe it is time to stop and just do the shoots that you really want to do with more creative thought behind them.

That's why my official story was "extended, indefinite hiatus." I'd hoped for it to be permanent, but the economy said "no."

but i wouldn't recommend sticking with it until you really do hate it. because that wasn't good either. i should have gone on hiatus at least 6 months before i did.

What would you do if you retired?

If it isn't fun any more, why bother?
